The editors at Gatherings invite and encourage your submission of material relevant to the field of ecopsychology, including original articles, reviews (books, film, exhibits, etc.), interviews, poetry, prose, art, photography, music, podcasts and other audio files, video and relevant announcements of events or other activities.
We will consider all work for publication, but ask that it be submitted in English and in final edited form, with your full name and a way to contact you if we have questions. It should be copy-proofed for spelling and grammar, with sources and links indicated with accurate urls.
Articles of more than 2-3 pages should be submitted as a pdf, and all material should include a short bio along with any web urls and an email address or other way for readers to contact you, if you are willing to be contacted.
Please include images to illustrate your work if you have them, but any images not embedded in a pdf should be sent as a separate file (i.e. NOT embedded in a Word document). Be sure you have permission to publish any image you submit – copyright-free or creative commons images may be found via an internet search and many of those will ask that the image is credited with a link to the artist. If that is the case with your image, please include the link.
It would be helpful – and particularly friendly – to include a short (one paragraph) précis that we can use to introduce your piece.
Previously published material is acceptable if you have permission and include that information in your submission. Similarly, you are free to submit anything we have already published elsewhere, but we ask that you credit us with a link: e.g. “First published in Gatherings” (with “Gatherings” linked to <http://www.ecopsychology.org/gatherings>) and the date your piece was published.
Send submissions that adhere to the above guidelines to editor@ecopsychology.org.
We also accept review copies of books and other relevant materials (inquire at the email address above for mailing address).
